July favourites everybody! I wanted to focus this month on drug store products - mainly because I've been buying more and more recently. So I thought I would share with you what I have been loving in the month of July.
Revlon Colorbust 'Matte Balm': Audacious
I convinced myself that I wouldn't enjoy this product as I haven't really had a great experience with chunky 'crayon' like lip products. I picked this up in a 3 for 2 offer at Boots and just thought I would give it a whirl - it was free afterall. I absolutely love this! Everything about this product excites me. It gives the most beautiful pop of colour and the pigmentation is ridiculously crazy. The colour is a warm coral/orange, it reminds me of a more toned down and darker 'Infra-red' by Topshop.
It goes on a balm which makes it super easy to apply and dries matte. Even though the end affect is a matte finish it still weirdly manages to be moisturising on your lips. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.
Soap and Glory's Archery: Brownie Points
This brow product and I have a little thing going on and I think it's called love. I have used this everyday since I purchased it. I'd read a few good reviews on this new product launched by Soap and Glory and how how much of an easy application it was. I was not dissapointed. Double sided, it includes a 'brow tint' which is basically an end with gathered bristles and a liquid like formula - as much as I love this product I really cannot get on with this end. The 'Precision shaping' on the opposite end rivals every brow product I've ever owned. It's so easy to apply and doesn't go on the brow too harsh. It is quite a light colour (this is the darkest out of the two colours) it is really buildable if you are looking for a darker colour. It's pretty much fool proof. It also has a 'wind up' mechanic which means you'll never have to scramble for a pencil sharpener again!
MAC Retro Matte: Relentlessly Red
For a girl obsessed with makeup and especially lipstick; I don't really own that many Mac lipsticks. I recently purchased this from my local Mac in Debenhams and they ended up giving me the wrong shade! As annoyed as I was at the time, I am quite thankful now.
It's definitely a shade I would go for but it's a mix of so many colours. (Please ignore the awful photographs. I definitely haven't done the lipstick any justice).
The lipstick is matte, and it is crazy matte. From the moment you apply it to your lips to the moment before bed when you are scrubbing it off your lips. The picture is above is not a great true to colour match as the lipstick is a intensified coral, bright pink, red shade. You are probably wondering how one lipstick could be all of those different things? Trust me, you'll have to swatch it to believe it.

I have the same revlon colourburst and I love it!
ReplyDeleteI posted my July favourites over on my blog if you want to check it out :) xo
